Best Ever Sugar Cookies

2 Cups all-purpose Flour
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. Combine flour, salt, baking soda and nutmeg.
3. Cream together the butter and sugar. Blend in the sour
cream, add dry ingredients.
4. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness on a sugar
and floured surface.
5. Cut with cookie cutters, bake on ungreased cookie sheet
for 8-10 minutes.

For icing, use Betty Crocker Whipped icing, Cream cheese icing, or a powdered sugar icing*.

 


* powdered sugar and water mixture: 

1 cup powder sugar

1/4 cup water

Natural food coloring

just eyeball the texture, less water for thick or add more for thinner, then add food color to dye it.
